Getting to Chateau Barayre
Arriving by high speed train (TGV)
Nearest TGV stations are those of Agen (45 minutes drive) or Bordeaux (2 hours drive).
From the station take a taxi or van. If more than 8 people, a van is usually the most easy and economical option.

TGV travel time to Bordeaux from the north. The same train continues to Agen: add 1h):

TGV travel time to Agen from the south:

Regional train & bus
It’s possible to get even closer to the castle by taking the TER regional train.
From Bordeaux take the TER regional train to Bergerac which will take about 1h15 for about 15€. From there busses drive to Villereal 3€. Note that there usually drive just a few times per day. Take a taxi (20€) to cover the last few kilometers of take a lift using the BlaBla Car app.
From Agen take the TER regional train to Monsempron-Libos which will take about 1h15 for about 15€. Take a taxi (35€) to cover the last few kilometers of find a lift using the BlaBla Car app.

Arriving by plane
From UK, Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal
Nearest airport is Bergerac at a 30 minutes drive. Bergerac is particularly well connected to the UK, Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal. Check their destinations. From Bergerac rent a car, take a taxi, or if coming with a bigger group, rent a van. Renting a van is usually is usually the most economical option if you arrive with more than 10 guests at the same time.
(Inter)continental flights
International airports of Bordeaux and Toulouse are both located at a 2 hour drive. They welcome continental and intercontinental flights. Other, even bigger airports are those of Paris Charles de Gaulle and Barcelona (5 hours). Click on each link to get to their destination map.
Take a taxi from Bordeaux or Toulouse airport (count on 110-250€ for one way), rent a car (Bordeaux / Toulouse) or rent a van if arriving with more than 8 people.
From Paris take the high speed train to Bordeaux (2h) or Agen (3,5h). Arrive at the castle by taxi (Agen/Bordeaux) or van. As it is a smaller city and station, travelling over Agen will give you the most comfortable and economical trip.
Arriving by car or campervan
