How many bedrooms are there in total?
The castle offer 26 beds in 11 rooms. There are two 4-person rooms, all other rooms are 2-person rooms. Download the floorplans.
You mention to realize more rooms. Will they be finished on time?
Before the 2023 season we are planning to realize 6 to 12 more beds. We are still awaiting reply from the parties we work with, before we can say with 100% certainty that they will be finished on time. For the time being, the contract that you sign includes 26 beds. As soon as we know more, we will get in touch with you. The additional beds are not included in the current rental price. They will be priced around 40€ pp/pn.
Do all rooms have en-suite bathrooms?
No, they didn't think about that in the 12th century. Ensuite only in the two tower rooms; one of which is the wedding suite. There are 7 bathrooms and 2 separate toilets in the accommodation. Download the floorplans.
Are towels, cleaning and bed linen included?
Yes. All is included. We do ask you however to take your own large towels for the pool.
Can I take my pet / dog?
If you like to take your dog(s); that’s possible. A few points of attention though. Your dog needs to be well behaved, so take care that your dog will not disturb the other guests or animals on the property. Dogs are not allowed to enter the pool area and the stairs to the sleeping floor or mount any of the furniture inside the accommodation. Dry your dog before entering the house and please take his or her dog basket/cushion, so your dog feels nicely at home :) Obviously, enjoy the natural surroundings often, to allow him/her to unleash the important, please clean straight away if this might happen on the property. An additional fee of €60 per booking will be charged per dog.

If we choose for the Complete Weekend package, is all food and drink included?
Yes, the inclusive package comes with a full catering menu and unlimited drinks during the program. A cocktail bar is not included. We are happy to make you some cocktails though! The cocktail bar can be booked as add-on.
Can we bring in our own drinks?
Within the “Creative Organiser” and the “Complete Wedding” formulas you can bring your our own drinks without limits. Within the “Let us help you” import is possible at an import fee. No matter what formula you choose, we always provide the drink service. Understand what that means in the point below.
What does your “drink service” entail?
To guarantee the quality of service, Château Barayre always provides the drinks service. On the wedding day, we usually serve drinks. Before and after the wedding day, we'll set up a boozy buffet that's constantly set-up and stocked. Our service includes refrigeration; glasses; furniture and serving facilities; service; cleaning; and waste disposal.
In case you bring your own caterer, don’t forget to mention him/her clearly that they should not include their drinks service.
It like to have a cocktail bar. Is that possible?
Due to our current license, we can't sell you our own cocktails. Yet, if you buy the booze, we are allowed to mix it for you. We work with an experienced bartender, so tell her your favourite cocktails; she’ll happily shake them together!
Is the local town and extra accommodation within walking distance?
See the attachment for nearby accommodations. The nearest towns Monflanquin and Villereal are both 7 kilometers away. The four nearest villages Villereal, Monflanquin, Monpazier and Issigeac are all amongst the "Plus Beau Villages de France", France's 150 most beautiful villages. Beyond beautiful, they are very lively. The surroundings are a very good place to enjoy holidays anyways with beautiful nature, plenty of castles, the river valleys of Dordogne and Lot, not to forget good food :) Follow this link to find out more about the region.
